How to Maximize the size of *.png rendered in Apo?

Postby Pontigary » Thu Mar 31, 2011 3:58 pm

Dear friends, please tell me what is the maximum size of *.png files that one can render in Apo 7X with flam3 engine.
Sometimes I "ask" it to make a rather big file (>20 mpix) and after say 20 - 30 hrs of rendering I have a *.bmp with its poor quality and inability to be postprocessed for print. I want to know the maximum possible size (Mpix or MB) of *.PNG beforehand.
Or does it depend on RenderQuality I use or the PC configuration (say, amount of RAM) though I have 16GB DDR3 on Intel Core2 Quad?
Thank You in advance,
Anthony.

You can change the format from .bmp to .png when you click the render button and the window pops up. In the File Destination box at the top (where it specifies the path/folder/filename), just edit the file name to show the .png extension. As for the size question, I don't know if there is a maximum, or what it would be. Render Quality does factor into the render time and quality, so the higher you go the longer it takes.
